Lap of the bay with the dog loop

Again a struggle out of bed this morning and hit the road around 7.45 for a loop of the bay with the dog loop. Took off from Montage south towards canine corner and saw Action 26 and Luke S going the same way on the other side of Hawthorn Canal. 26 joined me when we met at the bridge and he ran the rest of the lap with me. We were enjoying the scenery and a nice chat when coming up the little rise onto the Iron Cove bridge a couple of people overtook us. All of a sudden our sedentry 4.40 pace became sub 4s as 26 and his Bay Boy ethos of never being passed kicked in! A struggling and instantly foaming at the mouth fox gave chase to a flying 26 - almost in vain! Pretty impressive from Steve though considering he had been on his feet for 2 hours - the bloke has some endurance...gimme some!

In the end a good solid finish, just over 9kms in 41 minutes. Legs feel good for tommorow, looking forward to putting in a better effort than last week at the Clovelly Star.
